Coded quality at Aberdeen engineering firm

Employees at James Aiken Engineering Solutions have taken their qualifications to the next level by completing coded welding certifications.

The stringent welder approval tests are examined by an independent test examiner, who ensures the welders are able to complete work to a certain specification.

James Aiken Engineering is one of the few fabrication and machining companies which can offer a team of multi-coded welders, ensuring work is completed to a superior standard. The team is able to cover a range of materials, specifications, thicknesses and diameters.

Neil Jolly, director of James Aiken Engineering Solutions said: “It is vital that we continually improve our skills. We know our welders are impressive, but it is fantastic to see that recognised by an independent body.

“Our customers demand the very best standards and we are delighted to prove that at James Aiken Engineering we always provide the high quality of work they require.”

James Aiken Engineering Solutions’ diverse range of customers come from onshore and offshore energy industry.

James Aiken Engineering Solutions has been operating in Aberdeen since 1977. Originally based near Aberdeen Harbour, the company moved to a new £1million base in the city’s Bridge of Don area in 2015.
